Zaina's Couture started the way most good Ghanaian businesses start: someone kept asking, “where did you get that?”

We were already ordering internationally for ourselves: waiting six weeks, gambling on a photograph, arguing with customs, and sometimes opening a parcel to find something that looked nothing like the picture. Friends asked us to order for them too. Then their friends did. At some point it stopped being a favour and started being a shop.

So we built the version we’d have wanted. We buy in small runs, we open every parcel ourselves, and we photograph and measure what actually arrived, not what the supplier claimed. If a fabric feels thin in our hands, it never reaches this site. What’s left is a rail we’d wear ourselves, priced honestly, sitting in Adenta and ready to move.

That’s also why we don’t refund, and why we talk so much before you pay. We’d rather spend twenty minutes on your measurements and lose the sale than take your money for a dress that will sit in your wardrobe with the tag on. Ask us anything. We answer honestly, even when honest costs us the order.
